Shri Rajendra V. Gogri ascended to the position of Chairman in 2012, nearly two decades after having been appointed as the Managing Director of the company. He has been associated with the company since its inception. A rank holder from UDCT, Mumbai, he possesses a master’s degree in chemical engineering from USA. Along with Shri Chandrakant V. Gogri, he has played a pivotal role in AIL acquiring its present stature. In addition to technical acumen, he possesses a keen understanding of the financial and commercial aspects of the chemical industry. Like Shri Chandrakant V. Gogri, he also was conferred with the prestigious ‘Distinguished Alumnus Award’ from UDCT in the year 1995 for his entrepreneurial achievements. He was recently honoured with the ‘Hurun Most Respected Entrepreneur of the Year – India’ award in the year 2019. In the same year, he was also presented by Indian Chemical Council with the ‘Lala Shriram National Award’ for leadership in the chemical industry.
Shri Rashesh C Gogri, a dynamic leader and second-generation entrepreneur, exemplifies the visionary leadership at Aarti Industries Ltd. Joining the company's board in 1997, he has steered AIL's journey with unwavering dedication, serving as Vice Chairman and Managing Director since 2012. A graduate of production engineering from Mumbai University, his profound expertise and strategic foresight have been pivotal in the execution of numerous transformative projects. With astute business acumen, he leads the charge in shaping the company's business strategy, sales, and procurement functions. Under his stewardship, AIL has experienced unparalleled growth and expansion, solidifying its position as a market leader.
Shri Renil R. Gogri is a B.Tech (Mech) from IIT Bombay. A Whole Time Director since August 2012, he handles the portfolios of system developments and improvements in operations, adoption of IT advancements into operations, and project execution and other production-related activities of the company.
Shri Suyog Kotecha is a seasoned business leader with over two decades of experience in the chemical and energy sectors, specialising in strategy, business development, and performance transformation. He most recently led Strategy and New Business initiatives for the Petrochemicals business at Reliance Industries Limited. Prior to this, he was a Partner at McKinsey & Company in Mumbai, leading the Chemicals Practice and advising on strategic growth. Suyog has gained valuable experience in the chemicals and oil and gas sectors during his five years in the Netherlands and Singapore. At Sulzer Chemtech, he was a Business Development Lead, managing refinery and petrochemical clients across the Asia-Pacific region. He began his career at Shell Global Solutions, developing technology for large-capacity LNG plants. His academic credentials include a Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering from the Institute of Chemical Technology (formerly UDCT), Mumbai, a Master's in Chemical Engineering from the Universiteit Twente, Netherlands, and an MBA from the Indian School of Business (ISB), Hyderabad. Throughout his career, Suyog has leveraged his technical expertise and business acumen to drive impactful change, foster collaboration, and deliver positive outcomes.
Shri Manoj M. Chheda, a Whole Time Director of the Company since 1993, is a Law graduate from Mumbai University. He possesses an experience of over 37 years in the purchase and marketing of chemicals.
Smt. Hetal Gogri Gala holds a degree in electronics engineering from Mumbai University and has completed MEP from IIM-Ahmedabad. A second-generation entrepreneur, she joined the Aarti group in 1996. Joining the company’s board in 2001, she has held leadership roles in procurement, marketing and supply chain functions, and has managed various strategic business units. Leveraging a rich experience of over two decades in chemical and pharmaceutical industries, she has been a key contributor to the company's growth. Following the demerger of pharmaceutical business from the company, she has been serving as a Non-Executive Director since 2022. Facilitated by the company's CSR initiatives, she is actively engaged in social development through philanthropic activities in education, healthcare, and community welfare.
Shri Ajaykumar Gupta is an accomplished professional with over three and a half decades of industry experience and serves as the Executive Director and Chief Manufacturing Officer at Aarti Industries Limited. He has held senior leadership roles in renowned petrochemical manufacturing companies such as IPCL, Reliance Industries Limited, Grasim Industries, and Jubilant Life Sciences. Ajay holds a Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering from Harcourt Butler Technical University, Kanpur. He is acclaimed for his operations, technical services, sustainability expertise and has led successful projects globally including the largest petrochemical complex in KSA. Recognised for his achievements, Ajay champions executive coaching, sustainability risk management and industry representative initiatives.
Shri Lalitkumar Shantaram Naik is a B.Tech - Chemical Engineer from IIT Kanpur, with a PGDM from IIM-Ahmedabad. He has more than 25 years of rich experience in the field of chemicals and building materials and nutrition at leadership positions across many companies.
Prof. Aniruddha B. Pandit is presently a Vice Chancellor, Institute of Chemical Technology, India, Ex.Vice President, INAE (Academic, Professional, and International Affairs) and Ex President, Asia Oceania Sonochemical Society Board. He has been teaching mainly Environmental Engineering and Process Safety, Chemical Project Economics, Design of Multiphase Reactors, Project Engineering & Economics, Separation Processes, Unit Operations and is a recognized Research Guide for 60+ Ph.D. as well as 100+ Master’s Students. He has authored hundreds of International Research Publications, Citations, H-Index and secured many National and International Patents, Awards and Recognitions. He is a Fellow of all Science Academies of India and is also a Fellow of United States National Academy of Engineering.
Shri Shekhar Khanolkar's executive career spans over 30 years, and he has held leadership positions with businesses in America, Europe, and India. He has worked with Cyanamid India, RPG Enterprises, and BASF India, among others. For eleven years, he served as Executive Director and Managing Director of Navin Fluorine International Limited, responsible for the growth transformation and creation of the global CDMO business. As an expert in the life science industry, he specialises in strategy conceptualisation and delivery of multiple projects, P&L, and cross-border acquisition. He holds a Chemical Engineering degree and an MBA and has completed his advanced management from Harvard Business School, USA.
Shri Ashok Kumar Barat is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, the Institute of Company Secretaries of India, and an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England & Wales and CPA Australia. With leadership experience in India and abroad, he retired as Managing Director and CEO of Forbes & Company Limited in 2016. His expertise spans finance, M&A, strategy, audit, governance, and management assurance.
A former President of the Bombay Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the EU Chambers of Commerce in India, Mr Barat has contributed significantly to public life. He has served as a trustee of the Mumbai Port Trust and is currently a member of the managing committee of ASSOCHAM, as well as a special invitee to the Bengal Chamber of Commerce. A certified mediator with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, he mentors and advises entrepreneurs, business families, and companies on strategy, performance improvement, and governance. Mr. Barat is also a Member of the Board of Directors of several companies.
Shri Belur Krishnamurthy Sethuram has over 38 years of experience, during which he has successfully grown B2B businesses while coaching and developing the next generation of leaders. His experience includes leadership roles in Celanese, Dow Chemicals and domestic companies. Sethu has a B. Tech in Chemical Engineering from IIT Madras, an MS from Clarkson University, USA, an MBA from Sasin School of Business, and a Kellogg program. Sethu is passionate about developing talent and is a certified CEO coach at the Coaching Foundation of India. As a partner in Social Venture Partners, he is actively involved in capability building in the social/NGO sector.
Shri Nikhil J. Bhatia is a Chartered Accountant with over 40 years of experience serving both domestic and multinational clients. His expertise spans Corporate Tax, Transfer Pricing, Business Restructuring, Expatriate Taxation, Company Law, Foreign Exchange Regulations, and Foreign Direct Investments. He has held senior positions across prominent firms, including CNK & Associates LLP, where he served as Partner for 2 years; KPMG for approximately 13 years, including a 2-year stint in the UK, during which he managed the India Desk and was part of the Global Tax Solutions Group; and PwC for nearly 10 years. At KPMG, he was also a member of the Strategy Council for the International Assignee Services Network. During his tenure at PwC, he was elected to the PwC India Governance Board by the partner group and held various leadership roles, including Leader of the Western India Direct Taxes group, Tax Leader for PwC Kolkata, and Tax Relationship Partner for the Tata Group. Currently, Shri Bhatia serves as an Independent Director on the boards of several listed companies and is a Senior Advisor to CNK & Associates LLP.
Smt. Rupa Devi Singh is a Certified Associate from the Indian Institute of Bankers, holding degrees in Science (B.Sc) and Law (LL.B.) from the University of Delhi. She was the founding Managing Director & CEO of Power Exchange India Limited (PXIL), before her leadership at PXIL, Smt. Singh held senior positions for over four decades, with extensive experience across Retail and Corporate Banking, Investment Banking, Strategic Consulting, Overseas Marketing, Fundraising, Transaction Advisory, and Organizational Transformation. Her clients spanned the Manufacturing, Services, and Infrastructure sectors. She also brings substantial expertise in board governance, having served on boards with distinguished professionals, bureaucrats, and regulators.
